GUIDED VISIT TO THE CATHEDRAL AND THE ALCAZAR OF SEVILLE

Would you like to enjoy a guided tour of the Cathedral and the Alcazar of Seville, complete but relaxed at the same time?

You don’t want to miss the must-see places in Seville, but you don’t want to rush?

Cathedral and the Alcazar of Seville

With this tour we offer you just that. The tour consists of the visit of the two main monuments of Seville, the Cathedral and the Alcazar in the same day.

This combination offers you the best way to get to know two great examples of art and culture, religious and secular; and they are not just any examples.

We start our visit from the Plaza Virgen de los Reyes, where we will welcome our customers next to the entrance of the Archbishop’s Palace. A few meters away, at the feet of the Giralda, we have the entrance to the Cathedral.

So let’s go around the main places of the third largest cathedral in the world!!!!

Seville Cathedral

Catedral de Sevilla

The construction of the Cathedral takes more than four centuries. It is a Christian building on an ancient Muslim building, with a bell tower that warns of the masses and from which, in other times, a muezzin called the prayers 5 times a day.

For a little more than an hour we will visit some of the most interesting chapels. We will see one of the largest altarpieces in the Christian world in the Main Chapel and we will try to calculate the amount of gold that covers it.

We will find people of different kinds and origins buried in discreet tombs or in large mausoleums and we will be able to contemplate works of art of great baroque painters. Further more, we can even look for the tracks of an unexpected thief.

Surprising liturgical items will help us to understand some of the great religious events of the city.

Even some treasures will tell us about the complex and interesting devotions of the Sevillians.

After this interesting visit, our clients will have the opportunity to stay inside the

Cathedral and walk up to its famous bell tower, or continue their own walk inside.

Trascoro de la Catedral de Sevilla
Sacristía mayor de la Catedral de Sevilla
Cristo de la Misericordia

We completely change of scenery. We leave the clergy and meet the nobility; we leave the religious and meet the secular.

Here the light does not enter through stained glass windows that attenuate the brightness of the Sevillian sun, but dazzles in the courtyards and gardens, and is filtered through doors and windows. Lights and shadows. Contrasts and balances.

Three palaces from three different periods, but with a common evolution to the present day.

Visita guiada al alcázar de Sevilla

Royal Alcazar of Seville

Our visit starts in the “Casa de Contratación” of the 16th century, from where great voyages were prepared.

The mixture of arabic and christian styles will make us change certain perceptions about the beauty of the eclectic in the Palace of Peter I the Cruel of the fourteenth century. And in the Gothic Palace we will mix stories of royal weddings with others about very, very famous pirates…

And, of course, we will also enjoy a tour of part of its gardens, in which styles and different historical periods are also mixed.

In these gardens we will finish our monumental visit. This city offers a great variety of interesting places to visit and we will love to share them with you.

We are also waiting for you in Seville at sunset.
